Are you interested in working for a more sustainable and just world in an NGO? Do you want to take action on a grassroot level and thus influence issues related to the environment and energy policy?
You are very welcome to join the Helsinki Region and University's Friends of the Earth Newcomers' evening where you can hear more about what we get up to... from pollinator discussions to urban gardening, reading circles and demonstrations, we are excited for this year and for what’s to come!
The Newcomer’s Evening will include a presentation of what Friends of the Earth is about and how you can get involved. We will then screen a short (approx. 50 minutes) film on a relevant subject. Some vegan snacks and tea will be provided and the event will be held in English
What: Friends of the Earth Helsinki Newcomer’s Evening
When: Wednesday 27th September, 6pm
Where: Ulrika (Leppäsuonkatu 11, see info below)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to get to Ulrika:
Ulrika is a shared space for student associations located in the building Domus Gaudium (Leppäsuonkatu 11) in Etu-Töölö. The entrance to the building is on a small square on Leppäsuonkatu. Next to the door there are bike racks and a doorbell with the label "Ulrika" – ring the doorbell and wait for someone to come and let you in. Ulrika can be accessed without using stairs (there's an elevator in the building), but within the space there are some low thresholds.
